HEREU - meaning ‘heir’ in Catalan - was founded in Spain in 2014 by José Bartolomé and Albert Escribano. The brand reinterprets artisanal traditions and craft, inspired by the region’s visual art, folk tradition, and popular culture. Finding inspiration in the iconic-yet-mundane elements and the aesthetic of Mediterranean summer, the brand uniquely recreates items of the local imagery, such as Raffia baskets and fishnets through its signature interwoven leather, modern colors and refined feel.
