Carrière Frères was created by the Carrière brothers in 1884. The candles come in a range of singular scents inspired by exotic or indigenous oils that fascinated the botanists and explorers of the 18th century. Firstly, the glass is white-lacquered by a specialist. Because every essential oil burns at a different temperature, each fragrance is paired with its own specially woven wick for an optimal burn. Every ingredient is then weighed and melted, with the perfume blended in at the last instance. Carrière Frères is also passionate about minimizing their environmental impact - recycled glass, FSC cardboard, untreated rattan sticks, cork tops, and raw materials sourced from ethical and sustainable cooperatives.
