Polish artist Ewa Kulasek launched SCHA in 2004 and has since become known for her unique, sculptural hats and understated garments. Based in Köln, Germany, she approaches fashion with the same sculptural sensibility as her hats - refined, minimalist, and perfectly balancing function and form.

She started collaborating with Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons in 2012. "For me as an artist, hats represent a subject which works as a medium. People wearing these creations gain the option of performing some kind of poetical self-image in their everyday lives."
