Worthwhile is an independent clothing shop in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
Robben Richards opened Worthwhile in 1993 in it's original location on lower King Street. After a few years, the shop moved to middle King Street where it remained until 2022.

Worthwhile is now housed in a newly renovated early 19th century building on Magazine Street, just a few short blocks away from the hustle and bustle of King Street.

Worthwhile supports small production, independent designers who have a common philosophy of quality and longevity. Our hope is that the pieces you find in our shop will be loved and lived in for many years.
We have two stories of retail space with thoughtfully designed clothing, accessories, and objects from small ateliers as well as established brands. See a full list of our designers here.

If you can't visit in person just yet, meet the Worthwhile team here and see our favorite pieces in the shop!
