This intensely soft scarf is woven from 100% yak khullu. Its loose weave was developed by a master weaver using only two of the four pedals on the loom. This scarf’s naturally white fibre base is entirely unbleached and features raw fringing along its four sides. A favorite among Ritoma’s local nomads, who wear these scarves year-round. Khullu is the ultra-fine, downy undercoat that keeps the yak insulated during harsh Tibetan winters. Each summer, the yak naturally shed this down, which is then carefully collected by hand.
